Massage Types

Swedish Massage

This massage is done at a superficial level of the skin and muscle tissue with pressure anywhere from light to firm. The intention is to increase circulation, promote healing, relaxation and flexibility.

Therapeutic Massage

A general systemic massage of soft tissues of the body to induce a state of deep relaxation and to increase the body's blood and lymphatic circulation. This is an individualized treatment based on the client's needs, ranging from gentle to specific deep tissue massage.

Deep Tissue Massage

Releases chronic patterns of tension in the body through slow strokes and deep pressure on contracted areas, both by following and going across the muscle, tendons and fascia. This is accomplished by combining various modalities such as trigger point, Swedish massage, as well as, deep tissue elbow and forearm compression strokes. Deep tissue increases blood flow and aids in eliminating toxins from the body, break down restrictions in the soft tissue structures, such as scar tissue, and reducing stress.

Trigger Point Therapy

Applied concentrated finger pressure to "trigger points" - painful, irritated ares in muscles - to break the cycle of spasm and pain resulting in relaxation of the entire area of the muscle.
